Museum

Since its establishment in 1985, the Blessed Gisela Archdiocesan Collection has been the guardian of ecclesiastical artworks, episcopal legacies, and royal donations. As diligent stewards, we oversee the historical and artistic heritage of the archdiocese. We collect, preserve, and exhibit historically significant objects and documents. Currently, a portion of the collection is on display in Sümeg for visitors.

The renovation taking place between 2020 and 2025 presents an opportunity for the Collection's renewal, welcoming visitors with new buildings, renewed exhibitions, and programs. The WIP'23 exhibition, under the professional management of the Collection, offers a behind-the-scenes look and showcases the castle district's buildings and artworks in various stages of renovation.
