Piarist Secondary Grammar School

The building, constructed in Baroque style, is situated on the north-eastern slope of the Castle Hill. It is two stories high with a gabled roof. From 1753, it operated as a six-grade gymnasium. In 1783, expansions began to accommodate the national school. The first floor was completed in 1821. The second floor of the grammar school was completed in the 1820s, and in the early 20th century, the assembly hall and the drawing room were constructed according to the plans of Henrik Schmahl. Between 1914 and 1918, as well as from 1944 to 1945, the building was occupied by the military. The reconstruction of the grammar school was completed by 1948, but it was nationalised later that same year. From 1968 to 2008, the Administrative Vocational School of Veszprém operated here, and in 2008, due to deteriorating conditions, the institution was relocated from the building.

Renovation works are still ongoing in the building.
