Saint Emeric Church

The site of the classical style temple facing eastward was previously occupied by a chapel, which was demolished to make way for the construction of the Saint Imre Church in 1836, based on the plans of István Czeglédy and József Wágner.

The main altar painting and the frescoes on the vaults were created by Ferenc Bucher, a painter from Veszprém. During the renovation in 1901, neoclassical altars and a neo-baroque painting by Antal Szirmay were added.

Renovation works are still ongoing in the building.
