In the garden of the Bir\u00f3-Giczey House in the castle district of Veszpr\u00e9m, such a special place awaits those who wish to contemplate, find spiritual peace or even a quiet prayer. Under the shady trees, hidden among the flowers, stands a bust of B\u00f3di M\u00e1ria Magdolna, a young girl who sacrificed her life for purity and faith.<\/p>

Passing by the statue, time slows down and stories come to life. When you enter the Bir\u00f3-Giczey House, you will not only encounter Magdi's story, but also exhibitions that recall the past and cultural heritage of the Veszpr\u00e9m Castle. The carefully curated exhibitions offer a glimpse into the thousand-year history of the city, the small wonders of everyday life and the secrets of the past.<\/p>

The memory of a martyr<\/strong><\/p>

The figure of Mary Magdalene B\u00f3di has become a symbol of faith and self-sacrifice. She lived a simple, hard-working life, and her deep religious faith was her guiding star. Her life and her martyrdom carry a message for all visitors: the power of faith can overcome the greatest fears. The statue is not just a monument, but an invitation to silence and reflection.<\/p>

The garden as a place of spiritual tranquillity<\/strong><\/p>

The garden of the Bir\u00f3-Giczey House is itself a small refuge amidst the hustle and bustle of the castle district. The proximity to nature, the carefully tended flowers and the old stone walls make it easy to escape the noise of everyday life. The place would also be particularly dear to Magdi, who was known to have loved flowers and the beauty of nature. It is not difficult to imagine how, on a spring morning, she herself would gather a bunch of wild flowers to place on an altar.<\/p>

After spending time in the garden, it is worth exploring the exhibitions in the Bir\u00f3-Giczey House. The Bir\u00f3-Giczey House and its garden will be open to visitors again from February 2025. The opening hours of the exhibitions and the garden are as follows:<\/p>
