The Gizella Days events in Várhegy continue with a festive concert: the choirs of the Archdiocese of Veszprém, the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, and organist Tamás Kosóczki will perform together at St. Michael’s Cathedral.
As part of the Gizella Days festival, St. Michael’s Cathedral in Veszprém will host a special concert.
- On Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., the choirs of the Archdiocese of Veszprém, the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, and organist Tamás Kosóczki will perform a joint concert at the Cathedral. The event is one of the highlights of the Gizella Days, fittingly bringing together the communal, spiritual, and cultural dimensions of the celebration.
The concert program features works by Vivaldi and J. G. Walther. The brilliance of Baroque music, the power of the organ, the solemn sound of the choirs, and the unique acoustics of the cathedral combine to create a solemn and dignified celebration in honor of the memorial day of Blessed Gizella.
