The comprehensive renovation of the Veszprém Castle District was one of the most significant historic preservation projects in Hungary in recent decades. This is the subject of the documentary *1000 Years of Heritage: The Renovation of the Veszprém Castle District*, which can be viewed every Friday at 5:00 p.m. at the Archbishop’s Palace.

The film shows how a thousand-year-old heritage meets the results of 21st-century restoration and offers a glimpse into the technical aspects of this large-scale project. As a result of the restoration, 18 historic buildings, approximately 35,000 square meters of built-up area, and nearly 10,000 square meters of open space have been revitalized. The documentary offers visitors the opportunity not only to explore but also to better understand the historical, cultural, and sacred values, as well as the work that has enabled Castle Hill to once again welcome its guests in all its splendor.
